CMC and AEI Announce Strategic OEM Partnership for TuftX Defect Detection System

Chattanooga, TN – June 12th 2025– Card-Monroe Corporation (CMC), a global leader in tufting technology, is pleased to announce a new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) agreement with Appalachian Electronic Instruments (AEI) for the TuftX single-end defect detection system. Under the terms of the agreement, CMC has secured the exclusive rights to integrate and offer the TuftX system on all new tufting machine sales worldwide. This partnership enhances CMC’s ability to deliver advanced defect detection capabilities as part of its industry-leading machinery. In addition, CMC has obtained non-exclusive rights to offer the TuftX system as a retrofit solution for existing tufting machines within the North American market. AEI will continue to serve the global retrofit market outside of North America through its exclusive agent.
