For over a decade now, CMC has been committed to advancing our manufacturing technology and capability in a strategic fashion aligned with the principles of Lean Manufacturing. We have adopted and implemented Lean practices that enable better quality, more agility, greater productivity, less waste, faster cycle-times and improved delivery performance to our customers on new machines as well as service parts orders.
We believe that a company can be no better than its suppliers. This core belief drives us to proactively work with our supply chain to continuously improve its execution and to relentlessly work on our own manufacturing system bringing it to a state of world-class performance. In addition, CMC employees participate in Lean Training and can become certified to a Bronze, Silver, or Gold level. The CMC Lean Enterprise System has been recognized for its operational mastery, not only by our customers, but also by an independent party as a Progressive Manufacturing Top 100 award winner in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, and again in 2012. Receiving this Award recognizes our commitment to innovation, use of advanced technology and our one-of-a-kind Tufting University. This provides validation that we are on the right track with our mission and business strategies.
