Essential Job Duties
supervises, and coordinates controller and machine set-up requiring a broad
knowledge of assembly and electrical control system processes. Tests and validates system to ensure
conformance to engineering specifications and customer requirements.
creating and maintaining equipment conformance and validation records.
assigns work to utilize available skills, knowledge, experience, labor hours,
machines, and tooling to the best advantages to obtain the most favorable
assembly cost, quality, and workmanship.
regular training, instruction, and guidance to electrical personnel. Maintains close surveillance over set-up
procedures and electrical operations. Responsible for follow-up on jobs in
progress. Completes Customer and Shop Orders in a timely manner with respect
to scheduled delivery dates.
diagnoses machine/component/manufacturing problems, malfunctions, etc. Expedites and coordinates corrective
procedures to prevent excessive downtime and interrupted schedules.
information and collaborates with other departments to assist with work
planning, scheduling, process improvements, and cost reduction.
appropriate levels of labor in accordance with skill requirements, work
levels, schedules, and training programs. Maintains conformance with employee
safety rules and regulations. Administers approved disciplinary and
corrective measures when necessary.
Participates in and coordinates internal programs, such as
communications, vacation scheduling, job analysis evaluation, wage
administration, and conducts meaningful employee performance reviews that
provide subordinates with an understanding of their level of performance,
strengths, weaknesses, and an insight into future goals and opportunities.
current with respect to technical and supervisory skills by attending
training classes, special technical and administration courses, seminars,
exhibits and trade shows as needed.
coordinating departmental year end physical inventory.
and 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred or 5-8 years of experience
in electrical/electronic motion control systems.
Supervises up to 12 non-exempt employees in assembly
of electrical/electronic machine control systems, testing, adaptation to the
machine, and related functions.
