Machinist (2nd shift)
Performs the functions of general machinist, but closer to tolerance control, with wider range of knowledge regarding equipment, and with experience to work with minimal direction.
Working from standard drawings or engineering sketches, and using a variety of metal removal processes, produces general tooling and fix truing, prototype engineering parts, maintenance replacement parts, low volume production parts, and parts for special equipment designed by Manufacturing Engineer.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS:
Setup and operate surface grinders to 0.0003" size tolerance and 0.0005" flatness.
General Education: High school diploma with options in Science, Math, and possibly shop processes. Good command of Trigonometry is a requirement.
Training: One year minimum of formal training in Machinist Program.
Experience: Five years of experience in setup and operation of precision machining equipment; Knowledge of CNC equipment and/or programming a "MUST"
