In 2004, CMC committed to advancing our manufacturing technology and capability in a strategic fashion aligned with the principles of lean manufacturing. We adopted and implemented lean practices that resulted in better quality, less waste, greater productivity, more agility, faster cycle-times and improved delivery performance to our customers on new machines as well as service parts orders.
The CMC Lean Enterprise System has been recognized for its operational mastery, not only by our customers, but also by an independent party as a Progressive Manufacturing Top 100 award winner in 2007, 2008, 2009 and again in 2011. Receiving this Award recognizes our commitment to innovation, use of advanced technology and our one-of-a-kind Tufting University. This provides validation that we are on the right track with our mission and business strategies.
